Our convening reception venue announced + canvassing info

Over the years, Electing Women Alliance convenings have been an opportunity for us to strategize, build our alliance—and have a lot of fun, with each other and with the women we support.

In 2023 we kicked off our day-long agenda with a special send-off for outgoing Sen. Debbie Stabenow (MI), then heard from Sec. of State Jocelyn Benson (MI), Lt. Gov. Peggy Flanagan (MN), Sec. of State Sarah Godlewski (WI) and then-Interior Secretary Deb Haaland (NM). All morning we fielded updates from the US House floor, and were just sitting down to lunch when we learned the members had elected a new speaker.

The year before that our opening reception began with some exciting drama: The US Senate was just beginning to vote on the Respect for Marriage Act, which ultimately passed and we were able to celebrate with Tammy Baldwin (WI)—the bill’s sponsor—along with nearly every other sitting Democratic woman Senator. That convening agenda also included a panel with then-Reps. Abigail Spanberger, Lisa Blunt Rochester and Mikie Sherrill.

Noticing a pattern?

Ever since our first convening in 2015, we’ve featured panel speakers who we identify as rising stars, so our members have an opportunity to build relationships throughout a candidate’s path to higher office. This year will be no different, so register now and reserve your room at The Dupont Circle Hotel, where we have arranged a room block and which will also serve as the location of our full-day agenda on Thursday.

Please reach out to the groups team for the link to reserve at our group room rate. That rate is available through Saturday, Oct. 26, if you are able to stay for canvassing in Virginia for Abigail Spanberger (see below).

And we are excited to share the location for our opening reception: Woolly Mammoth Theatre, a DC institution for over 40 years known for innovation and risk-taking in its artistry. The venue, located in Penn Quarter, is recently renovated and certain to set a celebratory tone for our 10th Anniversary Convening! The $500 Convening registration reserves your spot at the opening-night reception as well as the next day’s programming.

We’re also opening an RSVP link for those interested in canvassing in Northern Virginia Friday afternoon and Saturday morning. RSVP for one day of canvassing or two:
