Our Mission
Our Mission
Electing Women Denver aims to bring women together as a community to support women candidates. Our goal is to inspire intentional, informed giving to increase women’s political leadership and close the political gender giving gap. We host and support candidates running for Senate and Governor and at the presidential level.

Our History
Electing Women Denver was founded in 2000 as the initial Electing Women group. The former lieutenant governor of Colorado, Gail Schoettler, had just lost a competitive race for Governor by less than 8,000 votes. Gail, along with her friend Judith Wagner, shared a belief that women donors must play a bigger role in supporting women candidates for statewide office. Electing Women Denver was launched and supported women running for governor and Senate.
Our Impact
Electing Denver is a part of the Electing Women Alliance, a national network of giving circles in cities around the country, including Austin, Boston, Chicago, Denver, Houston, Los Angeles, Nevada, New Mexico, New York, Philadelphia, San Antonio, Seattle, St. Louis, Vail, and Washington, DC.
So far this cycle, Electing Women Denver has individually raised over $346,000 for women candidates. Since our founding in 2000 in Denver, the Electing Women national network has collectively raised $28 million for women candidates.
