Today is historic—the announcement of the first presidential re-election campaign with a woman on the ticket—and we are encouraging all of our Electing Women groups to help support the campaign.
Electing Women Alliance is excited to officially launch our fundraising for Vice President Kamala Harris! In addition to joining in-person and Zoom events in the months ahead, there are other ways for our members to support the presidential ticket’s re-election.
That’s why today we want to share a new program we are launching: Training donors to be fundraisers, and specifically, to become bundlers for Biden-Harris 2024.
A woman is half of this ticket. So shouldn’t women be half of presidential bundlers? We think so. But we’re not even close—in fact, while women made up 38 percent of political donors overall in 2022, we were only 30 percent of presidential bundlers in 2020.
To increase that percentage, we need your help. Because of our unique model, the Electing Women Alliance is in the perfect position to increase the number of presidential bundlers, thus increasing women’s power and influence within the Democratic Party. We also know that women candidates rely more heavily on women donors, which gives us an opportunity to be leaders in supporting the Vice President, who we know will continue to take hits as the first woman and first Black woman ever to serve at this level of office.
When you become a bundler, you will receive communications directly from the campaign, as well as receive other special invitations. This in turn allows you to be a thought leader and activist within your community. Looking ahead, we will offer guidance, training, and support to anyone who joins this effort.
This is what we do at Electing Women—we take the lead in supporting women candidates, and we plan to show up big during this history-making re-election campaign for the first woman vice president.
To sign up to become a bundler, you can email Annalise Pflueger at annalise@ewbayarea.org.
You’re also welcome to RSVP for our monthly EWA call on May 11 at 3 pm EDT, during which we’ll discuss bundling in further detail.
