As we head into the holiday, I want to share exciting news on the EWA front. During a session focused on internal updates at our Convening in DC last month, I announced that we have been in the quiet phase of a 10th Anniversary Sustainability Campaign—to fund our operations—and are now transitioning into the public phase for the final weeks of the year. Our goal is to raise an additional $100,000 before the end of December. It’s a big amount, we know, but we have big plans!
As we celebrate 10 years, we could not be more proud of our accomplishments, having raised $44 million for women candidates with groups in 17 locations across the country. And despite the challenges of these times, our EWA future looks bright: Thanks to the generosity of a small circle of donors to our operations, we have been able to fully integrate EWA and WomenCount and expand our work to meet increasing demand from candidates. EWA remains the only organization in the country working to mobilize communities of women donors as a pathway to electing more women.
Since we began this expansion in 2022, we now have seven full-time staff members (pictured below) dedicated to supporting and expanding current groups, launching new groups, organizing programs like the Convening, strengthening our downballot program, and enhancing our WomenCount platform. This work requires resources, and our goal is to create sustainability going forward.

I hope you will consider supporting EWA as you make your Giving Tuesday and end-of-year donation plans. You can make a contribution through WomenCount or reach out to learn more (including wire and ACH information). Gifts of all sizes are welcome and we encourage contributions of $1000, $2500 or $5000 to help us hit our ambitious target. If you are interested in making a donation at a higher level or a multi-year gift, I would be pleased to share more about the campaign – simply reply to me at this email.
Thank you for your thoughtful consideration and for everything you have contributed to EWA’s success over the past decade. Wishing you a wonderful Thanksgiving!
With gratitude,
Stacy
